Terms of Service

The plain version, in writing.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

By creating an account or using Lymonada, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Lymonada is — and is not

Lymonada is a self-guided program. The Lymonada Method draws on evidence-based approaches used in clinical practice — CBT, ACT, behavioral activation and self-compassion research — and was designed by a licensed professional counselor. It is still self-guided content, not therapy.

Using Lymonada does not create a therapist-client relationship, and nothing here is medical, psychological or legal advice. It is not a substitute for professional care, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, please use the crisis resources immediately.

You must be 18 or older

Lymonada is intended for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or use the service. By signing up you confirm that you are at least 18. Accounts we believe belong to minors will be closed.

No guarantees of outcome

Healing is not linear and it is not uniform. We make no promise or guarantee about any particular result — emotional, relational or otherwise — from completing the Method or using any tool here. Progress markers, streaks and certificates reflect your activity, not a clinical outcome.

Your content stays yours

You keep full ownership of everything you write: journal entries, letters to your future self, exercise responses and reflections. We store that content so we can show it back to you, and we claim no rights over it. We do not publish it, license it, sell it or use it to train anything. You can request deletion at any time — see the Privacy Policy.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up, and tell us if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

You agree not to misuse the service: no attempting to access other people's data, no interfering with or overloading the platform, no reverse engineering, no scraping or reselling the content, and no using Lymonada to harass or harm anyone.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, for abuse of the service or other people, for suspected fraud, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary for safety or legal reasons. Where it is practical and appropriate, we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by emailing us.

Subscriptions and billing

Lymonada is currently free to use. Premium is not yet live and no payments are being taken. If and when Premium launches, pricing, billing cycle, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before you are asked to pay, and subscribing will always be optional. We will never charge you without your explicit consent at checkout.

Availability

We work to keep Lymonada available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Features may change, and occasional downtime or maintenance can happen.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lymonada and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
